Starting pointOur company was set up by two techies, Vitaly and Michael, in February 2002 – exactly when the first .NET framework was released. They named it Intellias, from intelligent, to describe the essence of the company they wanted to build.
Intellias was unconventional from the start with its focus on the DACH region. Having previously worked with German big names including Deutsche Bank and SAZ, Vitaly and Michael had simply developed an affinity for the region and its business culture.
Intellias, for me, is not just a business for the sake of doing business. It’s a business with technologies that I can personally relate to.
Market and growth
Vitaly and Michael organized multiple business road trips to attract their first clients in Austria and Switzerland, covering 6,000 to 7,000 kilometers each time. Since then, Intellias has grown five times over, but we’re still getting 80% of our business from the DACH region.
With 800 employees across Ukraine, Vitaly and Michael have come a long way from a single-room office and long road trips to a focused market strategy and sustainable growth.
You can’t call us a family company since we’re already significantly larger, but we try to keep this informal spirit. We don’t tolerate any corporate red tapes.
The Intellias way
Vitaly and Michael constantly say that Lviv’s atmosphere – its democratic nature and cultural openness – have shaped their personal values and inspired how they run their company. Their ambition was to build a technology company that positively affects people’s lives. And they made it happen. The world’s leading technology companies have entrusted Intellias with the success of their products, which reach 2 billion users worldwide.
